One of my favourite spots is on this couch, in the small loungeroom off the dining room. In many ways it has become my knitting room and a great place to hide for awhile especially in winter. Now I have the new blanket to keep me snug, it is much nicer than the All Blacks rug Miff bought back for me (yes, AFL loving me!!) after his last trip across the ditch. The mohair and alpaca throw is lovely and warm. I have had a wee rest under it a couple of times now......lovely!!!

The slippers are knittted out of NZ Naturally "Alpine"14ply on 4mm needles. The flowers are crocheted and purchased from Spotlight. The slippers are for the MIL's birthday and should be making their way across the ditch to her on the Coromandel Peninsula as we speak. They should keep her feet warm. I knitted them using a pattern my Nan used to make slippers for the grandchildren. It is still a good pattern!
It is bizarre it is so cold and wet here that the trees are starting to change colour and New Zealand is experiencing drought. Go figure.
