For the last 10 years (after a very long Nursing career) I have been working in Local Government as a Town Planner. I have worked in Councils of all sizes and in varied locations. The down side is that it is a very very stressful job the up side is that I have made some wonderful friends and even met my wonderful partner Miff in LG.

I have noticed in the last couple years I have lost heart for the job especially so when I moved from Victoria to NSW (to be with the aforementioned Miff) but i have plodded along for the last four years. For nine months I have been acting in a position and the new Planner starts soon. So today is my last day for a while working as a Town Planner, I have a job doing office admin for a Nursing Agency so it will be a change of pace, change of circumstance and I feel good about the change. At this point I don't know if this change is permanent or if I will go back to planning once the princess finishes school which is at the end of next year.

In my new job I have the luxury of walking to work (previously I had to drive 102 kms and 22 kms to work) ,I love to walk to work, going home for lunch or having lunch with Miff and my girlfriends.

I can say that living in the country has been especially enlightening for a city slicker like me, I can actually tell the difference between different breeds of cattle and most importantly i now know the difference between boy cows and girl cows!
The pics in this post are all of where I have lived and worked in the last three years. I am very lucky to live in such a beautiful area.
