Train whistle blowing

I have just come back from four lovely days staying in Newcastle with my friend Deb. I decided to travel on the train there and back which gave me about 12 hours of knitting time, yes 12 hours of uninteruppted time that was mine. I started a green baby bolero for a friend who is expecting a baby in September. I finished all the body of it I just have to do the lace work now.

I also started and half finished the front of a yellow jumper for Phil and Shazza's new addition expected in October. I also got a start on the last peice of a plain cardigan I am knitting for Oliwka which I had intended to finish on my trip but didnt have thr right needle size so only the band was finished. Duh! I wanted to have it done so I could send it off across the ditch before they go to Europe to see family. Ah well it will be a nice surprise for when they come back.

I have been knitting a few little garter stitch jackets as quite a few people seem to be having babies or grand babies and they are so good for winter especially over a grow suit.
