Crash landings

I just had to blog about the events of last night and this morning.

The Princess's Godfather came for a fleeting visit. When he visits he always has an outrageous amount of loot for the princess who really doesn't need the endless supplies of makeup, clothes and accessories. And he always brings good plonk and Miff and I have been known to enjoy a schluck of plonk every now and then.
We started with drinks and nibbles with Lady J and Sir R before they went off to dinner. We then enjoyed a lovely BBQ cooked by the gorgeous Miff. After the dinner sitting around the table the godfather is suddenly on the floor, the dining chair had collapsed underneath him. A moment of shock and surprise then laughter much loud, raucous laughter. Once the Godfather had picked himself up and regained his composure we repaired to the lounge room. A couple bottles of good red later it was off to beddybyes for all concerned.
This morning I decided to cook eggs benedict with salmon, always a weekend winner with Miff. We decided since it was so nice outside that we would enjoy our Australia Day breakfast on the deck that Miff lovingly constructed. The Godfather broke the wooden outdoor chair too.....he moved onto another one and thankfully that didn't break.
No knitting has been done while the Godfather visited because hands are usually busy eating and drinking when he is around.
He left to return to the coast and to possibly think about his chair options......
