The Princess and I went into the city on Saturday morning to meet up with my friend Cathy and her daughter Tess at the Gallery of Modern Art to see the Andy Warhol exhibition. I have to say I am not a great admirer of his art but it was interesting to see.
I found it all a bit repetitive and dare I say it basic. I love going to galleries and wandering around looking at the art learning about the artists but after the first hour (and we were there for about 2.5 hours) I was done. There were videos and films playing as well and they really were just self indulgent and best kept for viewing by those involved. Maybe I am just a philistine when it comes to art ......whatever.The Princess enjoyed it and says she would go again, she is also making plans to see the Picasso exhibition in July. I wont be going to that. Picasso creeps me out just a bit.

It was great to catch up with Cathy and Tess, it has been about three and a half years since I have seen them. Cathy has gone from being the stressed career women to laid back, relaxed and tanned Queensland person. I half expected a her to have a surfboard in situ!!!
Stupid stupid me forgot the camera so no photos all weekend! Buggar.
