Last weekend in Brisbane I had a chance to go into the City and experience shops, big shops like Myers, David Jones, Lincraft all the big shops we don't have here in the boonies. I did a turn around Myers and DJ's (nothing beats the food hall in DJ's) before saving what I thought would be the best for last. I went to Lincraft thinking, hoping, anticipating it would be a yarn wonderland. It wasn't! It was crap.
I had hoped Lincraft would be my salvation, but it was not to be.
In stock was a bit of Patons and cleckheaton that one can purchase in Kmart and Big W, smaller versions of which are in the town I live in. However the Lincraft yarn was a huge disappointment as it was mostly all acrylic and looked like it was of poor quality. I was so disappointed that I had decided not to buy anything until I saw some cheap cotton/acrylic. I bought a ball of red and one of blue to knit little beanies for my niece and nephew. They were quick and easy and only required one ball and I did them in front of the TV and in the car on the way home.
Over all I was very disappointed at the yarn that was a available and the quality. As Derryn Hinch would say...shame shame shame Lincraft.....
