Out of the closet

About a week ago I was going through my numerous knitting bags to see if there were any UFO's and there it was in all its glory Miff's uncompleted cardigan.
I looked at it and seriously considered the options this poor cardigan had.

I commenced it May 2007 while he was in NZ visiting his mum and lost heart for it in July when all I had completed was the back, one and a half fronts and the pocket linings. It is so big and so blue and if there is one thing I struggle with it is Engineers in cardigans (or worse old Engineers in Acrylic dung coloured cardigans), anyone who has ever worked with Engineers will know exactly what I mean!

I thought I can unpick it and use the yarn for something else, put it in the drop box for someone else to deal with or finish it.

The verdict? I decided to finish it. So for the last week and a half I have finished the front and I am one third of the way through the sleeves. Miff is a happy man he will have his cardigan to wear to work ...... just like all the other engineers.
