The Bledisloe Scarf

My lovely SIL Toddy is about to have a birthday and I realised on the weekend how close it was so I got cracking or is it clicking?
I went to the stash to see what would inspire me. I found five balls of cream Cleckheaton Merino purchased in a tiny little wool shop in Toronto this time last year. The yarn is so squashy and soft and lovely. I decided since New Zealand has experienced its worst storms ever that Toddy needed a warm and toasty scarf. I cast on Friday night and finished it Saturday night while watching the Bledisloe Cup. But we wont talk about the cup.

Needles 5.5mm very old tortoise shells (my favourite), 26 stitches in a knit 2 purl 2 rib followed by a purl row.
I didn't measure it before blocking but blocking made it submissive.
