My gorgeous wee nephew Jasper is turning 4 in July, he loves cars, trucks anything with wheels so I decided to knit him a hoodie with cars on it. I had found a very old knitting book from the 1970's with a jumper that had a car motif on the front, it was the ugliest jumper I had seen for awhile( well it was the 70's) and I couldn't possibly knit my gorgeous wee man an ugly jumper.
I used the hoodie pattern that I knitted for Oliwka a few months ago but decided to knit it all in one piece to the arms that way I could knit wee cars all the way around the bottom. Since I am knitting from my stash this was the perfect opportunity to use up a heap of black wool that I had plus some odd bits for the cars. I also knit two cars on each sleeve. I am very happy with the way it turned out and hope that the young man likes his car hoodie too. I am going to give it to him at the end of this month when I am visiting them in the Barossa Valley.
