I think I will rename this blog "Knitting shrine to Oliwka"because all I seem to knit lately is things for Oli or other small children. A couple of weeks ago I purchased a knitting magazine that had the cutest wee hat, mittens and leg warmers with fish on it. Oli loves fish so fish it is. I did a check of the stash and found that I didn't have any blue yarn to knit this ensemble. Who would have thought that such an extensive stash wouldn't have the right sort of yarn? Since it was for the grand baby Miff was happy to accompany me to the Black Sheep to add to the stash....all in aid of keeping Oli warm in the New Zealand winter. We had a nice Saturday morning breakfast in the lovely coffee shop next door before adjourning to the wool shop.
I am using Heirloom 4ply baby yarn in lime, orange and blue as the pattern suggests knitted on 3.75mm needles. The Heirloom always knits up so nicely.
