Knitting Knights

Sadly a friend of mine has been recently diagnosed with a very aggressive and terminal cancer. He is an incredibly talented and exquisite knitter. His knitting is always beautiful and try as I might I cannot find any mistakes and believe me I have looked for them! As for his tension it too is perfect. Miff has one of his cardigans which he wears all the time in cold weather and in which he looks handsome.
A couple of days ago I was visiting and doing a few odd jobs and he presented me with a cardigan which had the back and the two fronts to the decreases knitted. It is in a beautiful Heirloom Heatherwood 5ply mushroom colour. I had to start work on it as soon as I got it home and have almost finished the front. He also gave me his needles including a case of Denise Interchangeable needles and all of his books along with six 200g skeins of 2ply lace weight yarn.
I am sure Miff will want the cardigan being the cardigan man that he is. And I am thinking and looking for inspiration as to how to use the 2ply yarn.
I felt very honoured that he would give me such a gift, the value of which is really only comprehended by other knitters. I cant tell you how grateful and overwhelmed I felt by this gift. Thank you C, thank you very much.
