I decided to use all my 8ply and 4 ply oddments of yarn to make a log cab in blanket. I have one in 4ply Sullivan yarn that I bought from Kmart a long time ago for 25 cents a ball. I don't much like it for baby clothes but it will make a nice baby blanket. Since I have so many cousins and step children and friends of them having babies it will eventually find a home.
The 8ply one is moving along nicely, I am enjoying the mindless nature of the garter stitch and trying to decide what colour to use next. I am not allowed to buy any wool for these blankets as I am only allowed to knit from my stash. Thankfully C's generous donation of yarn has enhanced my stash considerably.
